Landmark Forest Adventure Park have been forced to close several attractions in April.

Landmark Forest Adventure Park have confirmed the closure and restriction of a number of their main attractions during April.

Popular rides at the Carrbridge based attraction, such as the Skydive, RopeworX and Pinnacle, will remain closed, while others will have restricted opening times.

The decision has been taken due to staff shortages, with the park admitting to having had "great difficulty" in recruiting new staff.

The adventure park is now appealing to job seekers to fill a number of both permanent and seasonal vacancies in multiple departments.

In a statement, the park confirmed: "We are hugely disappointed to announce that unfortunately, we – together with the majority of tourism businesses in the area – are experiencing great difficulty in recruiting new staff. As a result of this we are not going to be able to open some of our summer attractions during April.

"This is obviously not a situation we welcome following the disruption of the last two years, but we are continuing to do everything we can to rectify the situation. We are hopeful that the situation will improve and we will be able to open more of the park very soon, perhaps from May.

"We will continue to review the situation over the coming weeks and will provide a further update in mid-April."

Due to the restrictions on available rides and attractions, Landmark are offering visitors a 25 per cent reduction on tickets for the remaining attractions available.

In addition, they have significantly reduced visitors numbers to ensure that queues do not build up as a result of any closures.

Attractions that would normally be coin-operated will also be free to visitors.

Several rides have been affected by the closures and restrictions, as below:

  • Skydive, RopeworX and Pinnacle will remain closed
  • The Forest Safari Cars will open from 10am-12.30pm
  • The Wee Monkey Trail will be open from 1pm-5pm
  • The Doughnut Shack and Xplore Store will remain closed
  • Other Services, including retail and catering may be reduced on certain days.

The park has noted that while the above attractions will be affected, the vast majority of attractions will remain open from April 1 onwards.

Landmark have advised that customers with existing bookings should have already received an email with information relevant to their booking.

Visitors will be partially refunded (25 per cent) for the tickets that they have purchased but will have the option to cancel their booking in exchange for a full refund, if preferred.
