A victim of a dangerous sex attacker says she has been contacted by prison authorities informing her that he is due to have his case for release heard by the Parole Board.

Patrick Chinskie (55) was jailed in February 2015 after being convicted of raping five women over a 23-year period.

He was also found guilty on charges of abduction and assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

He was made the subject of an Order For Lifelong Restriction, and was told he must serve a minimum of seven years behind bars.

Due to time spent on remand prior to sentencing, however, he is now entitled to a parole hearing later this summer.

Chinskie, whose address at the time of his trial was Boat of Garten, attacked his victims at their homes in Nairn, Aviemore, Inverness and at the Rock Ness Music Festival at Dores.

He used makeshift weapons including bottles, pliers, screwdrivers and knives to permanently disfigure some of his victims during his attacks.

The judge at the High Court who jailed him said that according to experts, he “posed a clear danger” to any woman who engaged with him.

One of his former victims said: "He should be kept in jail and he should be allowed to die there.

"This man has caused life-long harm to me, and many other women. He is depraved, and seven years in jail will not have changed him.

"I am still recovering from the terror he caused me. I will be writing to the Parole Board in the strongest terms, and I want others to do the same."
