Highland pupils told to stay at home for another day as winter grip continues

It’s another ‘snow day’ for Badenoch and Strathspey schools.

This morning’s list of winter-hit closures is extensive through the strath and beyond, with many thousands of pupils affected across the Highland region:

Total closures:

Secondary schools: 23 (11249 pupils)

Primary schools: 112 (11530 pupils)

Special schools: 3 (185 pupils)

Nurseries: 85 (1707 children).

The Badenoch and Strathspey casualties for the second day running are:

Abernethy Primary, Abernethy Primary Nursery.

Alvie Primary.

Aviemore Early Learning and Childcare Service, Aviemore Primary.

Carrbridge Primary, Carrbridge Primary Nursery.
