Traffic delays warning on A95 whisky road near Dulnain Bridge
Motorists are being warned about a section of roadworks on the A95 north of Broomhill Station by Dulnain Bridge from next week.
The whisky road is set to benefit from £235,000 resurfacing improvements with the upgrade starting on Monday.
A spokesperson for BEAR Scotland said: "The resurfacing improvements will address any defects in the road and create a smoother and safer journey for motorists."
The resurfacing is expected to take place over five days between 7.30am and 5.30pm.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 5.30pm next Friday (September 6).
A 10mph convoy system will be in place during the works to ensure the safety of the work force and the travelling public.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East representative, said: “This project has been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A95 for motorists.
“The resurfacing improvements have been scheduled to avoid working at the weekend to reduce any disruption during the works.
"We would however encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
Real-time journey planning information can be obtained by visiting www.trafficscotland.org or twitter @ trafficscotland.
All waste martials and spoil resulting from these road works will be re-cycled in accordance with Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) policies and procedures.
