Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be two part-day road closures of the B851 at Farr Primary School, Strathnairn, south of Inverness, on Friday July 15 and Tuesday July 26 between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

The two part-day road closures are required to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works and to ensure safe working practices.

A local diversion for Light Vehicles Only will be in place using the Brin – Dunlichity - Balnafoich Road, during these times. This route is unsuitable for HGV’s which will be signed separately via the main B-road network.

Advance notification signs advising the public of this closure will be erected this week at the site and at remote junctions, giving advance notice of the works.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained along with service buses and local access for residents living within the closure extents, managed through the works under the supervision of the contractor.

Pedestrians and cyclist access will also be provided through the works via the new shared-use path under the supervision of the contractor.

"The Highland Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience," a spokesperson said.
