Relatives of Inverness family killed in A82 accident send flowers to driver of other vehicle involved in crash

THE Davidson and Cousin families have reached out to the other driver involved in the tragic crash on the A82 that robbed them of their young relatives.
They made the gesture saying they did not want the 56-year-old to suffer the same level of pain as they were going through – and want her to live her life to the full.
It is understood that the Cousins' Mini Cooper – with mum and dad Rhys and Gemma and their daughters Peyton and Heidi all on board – spun on the road, going onto its roof while on the A82 and the Ford Fiesta heading in the opposite direction collided with it.
The other driver was taken to hospital and was later discharged. It is understood she worked in the area but did not live locally.
Gemma's mother Tracy Davidson said: "We know it was an accident.
"It was a terrible night, the weather was horrendous.
"It would be wrong for anyone to blame the other driver and we wanted to show that we have no hard feelings towards her.
"In fact, we feel for her. She was not to blame. It was simply an accident."
Rhys's mum Samantha Cousin said she felt there was a long-term problem with the road, and that she believed – after speaking with police – it was an accident.
"No-one wants this woman to be treated badly," she said.
"I have seen a few comments online that have been unkind. I would say to anyone, please be kind. This woman was also caught up in a horrific accident, that she will need to live with forever."
