Parents have praised a children’s daycare centre at Colyumbridge as a “welcoming, warm and nurturing place” for their little ones to be looked after in.

The comments come in a report published earlier this week by the Care Inspectorate on Rosebuds Daycare.

It follows an unannounced visit by inspectors on April 11 who ranked the service as providing a ‘good’ quality of care and environment.

Comments from parents of attending tots included:

n “The level of flexibility is excellent.”

n “The bond of the staff with the children is clearly evident.”

n “Rosebuds provide a vital and exceptional service to the local community.”

Inspectors reported “supportive and nurturing relationships” between staff and children.

They stated: “This helped to build children’s confidence and support them to feel safe within the service.

“Staff provided a welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere for children that helped them to be included and involved throughout the service...

“Staff knew the children well and showed genuine care and attention towards them and their families.”

Rosebuds Daycare boss Michaela McGarvey told the Strathy: “Rosebuds will continue to strive towards giving families the tailor made flexible childcare they require.

“We are constantly working hard to improve the service we offer and our grades from the Care Inspectorate and we are planning to expand in the near future.”

Rosebuds Daycare employs 10 staff and can care for 40 children from babies to 12 years of age.
