DELIGHTED animal experts and conservationists have hailed the return of world-famous osprey EJ to her Loch Garten nest.

The popular bird has nested at the same spot at the RSPB site for 15 years. But her species’ migration is a dangerous one, and staff at the reserve have spoken of their relief after her safe return.

The 21-year-old bird arrived back at her nest at around 5.45pm yesterday – equalling the record for her earliest return.
