Members of Network Rail staff and other train operators have been on strike since Tuesday.

COMMUTERS across the Highlands relying on train services have seen their plans disrupted as a nation-wide strike action has seen train journeys axed across the country.

RMT members from Network Rail Scotland and cross-border train operators LNER, CrossCounty, Avanti West Coast and TransPennine Express have been taking part in the industrial action calling for better pay conditions.

While talks are ongoing, the disruption to travel which started on Monday evening will continue throughout the week, with trains working on only five routes in the Central Belt today and on Saturday.

Services are facing major disruption around the days of strike caused by the reopening of signal boxes at different times across the day.

We want to hear from you: do you agree with the issues brought up by the protest or are you against strike action?

Let us know in the poll below.
