Police investigating Grantown curryhouse kitchen takeaway

Police Scotland is investigating a large quantity of commercial kitchen and catering equipment being stolen from The Bay Leaf Spice Restaurant on the High Street in Grantown.

The theft is thought to have taken place while the restaurant remained closed throughout December 2019 and over the New Year period.

Constable Neil Richards, of Aviemore Police Station, said: “The items taken included bulky and heavy commercial kitchen appliances such as fridges and ovens as well as other catering equipment, removed from the premises while it was closed throughout December and early January."

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone removing such property from the premises over this period.

Any witnesses should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1863 of 16 January.
