Police appeal after damage caused at Grantown Primary School

Police are making enquiries into extensive damage to the wooden picnic benches within the playground of Grantown Primary School.

There was also damage caused to the school fencing, extensive littering and several smashed glass bottles within the playground.

The damage was caused between 4pm on Friday 17th December and 7am on Monday 20th December.

Police have just posted the appeal for information on social media.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "If anyone witnessed the damage being caused or persons within the school grounds during this time , please get in touch via 101 quoting the reference number NM1942/21.

"Officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area but any help to identify all those involved would be appreciated."
