Aviemore athletes were out in force today for a "brilliant" parkrun which saw young and old excelling themselves.
"Several local folk came along for the first time," reports race director Hilary Quick.
"Including Donald Reeve from Boat of Garten, who said he wants to get fit for his 90th birthday next May!
"We also helped Rohin Whyte to celebrate her 11th birthday – and her 50th parkrun."
Plucky Rohin also took on the run director mantle to start proceedings, then ran with her friends and her mother, all in suitably colourful attire.
The152nd event attracted 88 participants, who ran, jogged and walked the course.
In all there were 44 first-timers and seven new personal bests were recorded, with representatives of 26 different clubs taking part.
The event was made possible by the following volunteers: Peter Shepherd, Jane Shepherd, Allan Martin McNicol, Dino Roussias, Malcolm Hinsley, Hilary Quick, Bill Dewitt. Alice Bailey and Laura Holland.
