One person hospitalised following A9 road collision south of Inverness near Tomatin

One person has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the A9 south of Inverness.

Traffic Scotland reported the incident near Dalmagarry at around 8.40am this morning (November 4).

It has now been confirmed by the Scottish Ambulance Service that one person has been transported to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08.36 to attend an incident at Dalmagarry, on the A9. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and one patient was transported to Raigmore Hospital.”

As of 9.40am, the road is restricted northbound, with road users advised to approach with caution and allow extra travel time.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
