EasyJet has opened up a new route from July 11 flying between Inverness and Newquay.

Brits might not be able to fly abroad this summer, but as easyJet adapts its routes for a staycation market it has added the Cornwall holiday spot to its schedule.

Flights are on sale now, from as little as £23. The timetable runs from July to mid September.

The budget airline says Newquay has much to offer travellers.

It reports that Newquay is: "Famed for its lively nightlife and surfer scene, you can party into the early hours here and you’re spoilt for choice with plenty of late night bars, pubs and famed DJs regularly packing out the nightclubs.

"For a more laid back holiday, you have a choice of country cottages to rent, tucked away from the bustle of Newquay’s town centre.

"As well as its stunning golden beaches, there are plenty more things to do to keep the kids entertained including a fun-packed visit to Newquay Zoo.

"The area is a popular haunt for surfers from all over the world and Fistral beach, with its awesome waves, has played host to several international surf competitions over the years.

"There are plenty of places to shop whether you’re looking to pick up some quality surfer clothes or souvenirs for your loved ones."
