Man to appear in court in connection with high values bikes thefts

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with high value thefts of bicycles in the Laggan and Grantown areas in January, earlier this year.

The incident at Laggan was reported on January 16 while the Grantown thefts occurred on January 29.

The man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court later today.

A 17-year-old male youth has previously been charged in connection with the incidents and released to appear at the city court at a later date.

Police Scotland Detective Sergeant Joe Newson said: "I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has helped with this extensive investigation over the last few months."
