Man caught driving under influence of drugs on A9 by Kincraig





Police stopped a motorist in Badenoch on the A9 and suspected he was driving under the influence of drugs.

A saliva test was carried out on crash barrier installer Arran Nairn-Anderson of High Street, Aberlour at the roadside near Kincraig on the evening of September 28, last year.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard it proved positive and later analysis showed his reading was 2.7micrograms of the drug when the safe driving limit is 2mcgs.

He admitted drug driving and was fined £640.

The 31 year old was also banned from driving for a year.
