The magic of the musicals will meet that of local radio at Kincraig on Friday.

The two worlds will come together through Sarah Wylie, a passionate believer in both.

The singer and broadcaster will host her own show in the village’s ‘dome’, The Ptarmigan at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre.

She told the Strathy: “The acoustics at the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre’s indoor venue are ideal and the place can provide a brilliant atmosphere for intimate shows.

“I want to perform a range of favourite songs from the musicals and from Disney films especially to raise funds for Speysound Radio, which does such a good job for the community.”

Wylie, an all-round entertainer whose first ambition was to become an actress, is no stranger to Badenoch and Strathspey after announcing herself with her hit radio show ‘In Conversation With…’ which goes out on Sunday afternoons and has featured many local favourites, including fellow singers Ailsa Villegas and Will Boyd-Wallis, along with fellow local broadcaster and walker Cameron McNeish.

Her musical show at Kincraig starts at 7.30pm on Friday and tickets are available through Eventbrite.

Availability can also be checked at the Loch Insh reception on 01540 651 272.
