The Macdonald Aviemore Resort has collected a prestigious accolade at the 2019 Scottish Hospitality Awards - and it comes from those who matter the most.

The popular holiday destination claimed “best resort of the year” at the gala event on Tuesday night at Glasgow's Crowne Plaza hotel.

And it is all the more special because it was the resort's guests and the wider public who cast their votes for those shortlisted for the accolade.

“We are proud to sit alongside our fellow world class resorts and hotels in providing the highest levels of visitor experience and customer service to our guests.

“Our resort and breathtaking scenery really do offer something for everyone from young to old, and we are absolutely delighted that our first-rate Highland hospitality has been recognised in this way.”

The awards recognising the achievements of the sector's leading operators and individuals.
