‘You may cross’ at Kingussie with repairs and checks completed

Traffic has been flowing again over Kingussie’s railway crossing following successful repair works to the roadway.

A spokesperson for Highland Council confirmed that the Network Rail contractors had completed the three-day works on schedule, in the early hours of this morning.

The crossing has been closed on Friday.

“They completed the works around 1am as scheduled and the closure was lifted.

The road surface was repaired in the project and drainage channels were cleared.
