Police are appealing for information to trace 45-year-old George Stove, who has been reported missing from Aberdeen and could be in the Highlands.

George was last seen just after midnight on Saturday, September 19, at his home in the Balnagask Road area of Aberdeen.

He is described as being white, 6ft 2, with short brown hair and a beard.

Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to trace George and believe he is travelling using a white Ford Focus (AO63 URZ).

He is believed to have been making his way to the Ullapool area earlier this morning (Saturday).

Sergeant Tom Spencer said: “As time moves on, we are growing increasingly concerned for George’s welfare and are appealing for anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

“He is originally from Shetland, so it is possible he may be heading in that direction.

“If you have seen George or believe you have seen his white Ford Focus in the Ullapool or Lairg areas, please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 0359 of 19 September.
