A hiker has been stretchered off a mountain after suffering an injury in the Monadhliath Mountains.

The Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist the walker on Monday afternoon after they injured their knee while descending A' Chailleach, which sits to the north of Newtonmore and Kingussie.

“After stretchering the casualty down, we were able to drive them safely off the hill in our Land Rovers,” said a spokesperson for the team.

Landowners assisted the team by transport the stretcher, kit and team up the mountain in their Argocat and 6x6 Can-Am. Picture: Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team.
