Tesco says it is following Scottish Government guidance and taking relevant precautions after a staff member at its Eastfield Way store in Inverness tested positive for Covid-19.

It comes a day after NHS Highland identified a cluster of five Covid-19 cases in the Grantown-on-Spey area.

A spokesperson for the store said: "A colleague at our Inverness Extra store has tested positive for Covid-19.

"The safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers remains our number one priority and we are following all Scottish Government guidance and taking the relevant precautions.

"We have extensive measures across all of our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular deep cleaning."
