Highland Hollywood actress Karen Gillan has given birth to her first child.
The Jumanji, Guardians of the Galaxy and Dr Who superstar was pictured by international media pushing a grey pram while out enjoying a sunshine walk in Los Angeles on Monday.
The 37-year-old, who grew up in Inverness and is an ambassador and passionate advocate for the local mental health charity Mikeysline, was seen out with husband Nick Kocher (38).
The proud parents stopped for a family brunch at the Mustard Seed Café, reports say, and were joined by Karen's parents and their pet dog.
The baby’s gender and birth date has not yet been revealed.
Mikeysline CEO Emily Stokes was among the first to publicly congratulate the couple, saying: “We are all delighted to hear of the safe arrival of Karen's first baby and wishing Karen and Nick a wonderful first Christmas with their little one.
“Huge Congratulations and a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Mikeysline!”
The screen star first revealed her pregnancy in September at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) where she appeared for her part in the movie The Life of Chuck.
At the event, she showed off her growing baby bump as she took to the red carpet.
The former Kinmylies Primary School and Charleston Academy, who moved to Edinburgh aged 16 to complete her acting qualifications, was photographed in LA wearing a green bodycon dress with a denim jacket and trainers, finishing off her look with a brown hat.
