Dobbies Garden Centre at Inverness is looking for a local charity partner for 2015 and charities are being encouraged to apply.

“The chosen charity will be the recipient of various fundraising activities in-store,” says Andy King, the managing director.

“They can vary from prize draw opportunities, donations at fashion cat walks to car washes and even cheese and wine nights.”

Charities should be operating locally in the area, providing services or projects to the community. The leading garden centre retailer is also encouraging community members to nominate charities for consideration.

Mr King explained: “Our community champions work on a great range of interesting projects throughout the year and it’s at this time we turn our attention to looking for a new local charity partner at each store.

“It's fantastic that our colleagues and customers always embrace supporting worthy causes in their area and we’re really excited to start work with our 2015 partners.”

Dobbies has raised over £350,000 for charities across the UK for its local and national charity partnerships, during the last financial year.

How to apply: An application form is available online at www.dobbies.com. All interested charities must operate within 20 miles of Dobbies Inverness and apply via email / or hand in the application form by 16 February 2015. Call 01463-701770 and ask for Dobbies Community Champion for more information.
