The hugely popular Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore has reopened to visitors today.

High Life Highland which operates the free admission attraction said it was great to open the gates again.

Much of the season was lost last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and HLH is hoping for a smoother season.

Lorna Cruickshank, HLH curatorial manager, said: “We are all delighted to be able to reopen the Highland Folk Museum again and share this fantastic look back in time again.

"The team has worked incredibly hard to make this happen as soon as possible and are once again creating a fantastic and enjoyable experience for visitors to enjoy.”

The first visitors were John and Gillian Hanson, all the way from Bury.
