Dead man named in A9 fatal road crash

Police in the Highlands have today (Sunday, December 22) confirmed the identity of a male who died on the A9 on Friday.

The incident occurred at the junction of the B9161 to Munlochy.

He was Gregor McIntosh, 16, from Inverness.

Gregor was the passenger in a red Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a crash with a white Nissan Juke and a blue VW Polo 6.55pm on Friday, 20 December.

Sergeant Angus Murray of Dingwall Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts remain with Gregor's family and friends at this very sad time.

"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we are grateful to the members of the public who have assisted us already.

"I would ask anyone who has information, in particular drivers with dash-cam footage which might help with our investigation to call us.
