Highland Wildlife Park’s adorable wildcat kitten has received her first health-check from vets.

Born on August 4, Tay was named by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s long-time donor, People’s Postcode Lottery.

Now 10 weeks old, Tay was given vaccinations and microchipped by the wildlife conservation charity’s vets.

She is still dependent on mum but her boisterous and cheeky personality is already showing.

“Lucky visitors might be able to spot her exploring her habitat in Wildcat Wood and keeping mum Fian on her toes,” said a wildlife park spokesperson.

The Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have been powering RZSS’s mission for over a decade, with more than £5 million raised for the wildlife conservation charity and an astonishing £1.5 billion donated to charities worldwide.

The support reaches far beyond Scotland – protecting wildlife in East Africa’s forests, Brazil’s wetlands, and inspiring people closer to home through Highland Wildlife Park and Edinburgh Zoo
