Grantown Community Fire Station reported a good start to the weekend, after all the weather and wild camper warnings.

"Tonight on a hot and breezy (Friday) evening some of Grantown fire crew worked with Forestry and Land Scotland at Glenmore and Loch Morlich engaging with wild campers about fire safety," the station posted on Facebook.

"Everyone was welcoming, happy to receive our advice and SFRS leaflets and expressed their gratitude to the fire service.

"Only one disposable barbecue was extinguished.

"Good to see responsible campers enjoying our stunning countryside.

"Have a safe weekend."
