The Met Office’s yellow warning remains in place today with more rain and snow on their way across Badenoch and Strathspey and the Highlands generally.

Highland Council’s roads condition report issue at 8am advises of “a chance of disruption and difficult travel conditions due to rain and snow.

“Stopping distances can be at least double on wet roads compared to dry conditions, and spray can reduce driver visibility.

“Please drive to the conditions, take extra time for your journey, and find alternative routes if needed.”

There is plenty of snow across the north end of the strath: “Negative temperatures and ice are affecting the south end.

“All routes being treated as well as footpaths.

“There are no known overnight issues.”
