The fund has £31,000 to support projects contributing to the Cairngorms, especially those whose aims are:

 the conservation and enhancement of nature,

 tackling climate change and reducing emissions,

 enhancing the networks of relationships among people who live and work in the Cairngorms

 contributing to strengthening our communities and businesses through capital project

delivery.

"We are anticipating that the average grant will be around £5,000, although smaller and larger grants may also be available," says Roger Clegg, chair of the trust.

The application window will close on October 31, with decisions being made and announced by the end of November.

Projects will need to be fully formed ideas that can easily be completed and fully claimed prior to the fund closing on March 31, 2022.

"We are delighted to be able to fund more projects, particularly those that will have a positive effect on climate change and our communities within the Cairngorms," said Mr Clegg.
