NHS Highland health board region registers another five cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus over the past day

ANOTHER five people have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus across the NHS Highland health board area.
The region’s cumulative number of known cases since the start of the pandemic increased from 5368 to 5373 when Public Health Scotland released the latest daily figures on Monday.
There were a further 641 positive tests for Covid-19 across Scotland in the past 24 hours – or 4.2 per cent of all tests conducted during that period.
Some 122 people were receiving treatment for the virus in Scottish hospitals last night – a dozen of whom were in intensive care.
No fresh deaths were reported among people who previously tested positive, although officials have stressed that registry offices are often closed at weekends.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the north of Scotland, there were no fresh positive tests overnight in NHS Shetland, NHS Orkney or NHS Eileanan Siar.
Twenty-four new cases were registered across NHS Grampian, taking its overall tally to 15,623.
And NHS Tayside’s total increased by 89, to 15,851.
There have now been 241,169 known cases in Scotland since the pandemic first struck last year.
Almost 3.39 million Scots have now had the first vaccination shot, while just over 2.25 million have received their second jag.
