FOR SALE: Grants has gone on the market

Award-winning Grantown-based butcher Grants of Speyside Ltd is on the market.

The Scottish butchery and food production concern has been run for five generations, operating from purpose-built premises in the Strathspey capital since 1996.

The company is famed for its nationally acclaimed haggis, black pudding, and a wide range of traditional Scottish meat products and holds SALSA health and hygiene certification for its high standards of production.

It is a hugely respected supplier to an impressive client base including off-shore caterers and national restaurant chains, Weatherspoons among them.

“The sale is prompted by the owner’s retirement,” explained a spokesperson for selling agents Business Partnership. “A full handover and transitional support will be provided to ensure a smooth transfer.

“Grants of Speyside operates under full management, making it an ideal acquisition for either a hands-off investor or an experienced operator seeking a scalable food manufacturing platform.

“This is a rare opportunity to acquire a highly respected Scottish food producer with strong brand recognition, diverse sales channels and a robust management team in place.”

The agents quote “Significant potential for further growth and expansion.”

The tenure is freehold for a business turning over £2.5m annually.
