The UK government's Eat Out To Help Out scheme is coming into effect next week.

Many places across the strath and the wider Highlands will be taking part in the scheme, which will see customers get 50 per cent off food and drink, up to a total of £10 per person, on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

This Monday (August 3) will be the first day customers can take advantage of the offer, which will run throughout August.

You do not need a voucher to use the scheme and you can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts.

There is no minimum spend.

Alcoholic drinks and service charges are excluded from the offer.

Strathy readers can check their own individual areas here for restaurants and other venues participating in the scheme.
