Traffic Scotland advising caution on A9 between Slochd and Carrbridge

Traffic Scotland confirm that the A9 is restricted at Carrbridge following an accident earlier this evening.

The incident was reported at 6.36pm.

Emergency services have been alerted although the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have told the Strathy they were not required and have sent no fire crews to the scene.

Details of the accident are still awaited, but Traffic Scotland advise: “Northbound and southbound directions are affect.

“The A9 at Carrbridge is currently restricted, due to a road traffic collision.

“Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”

No announcement has come yet from police or ambulance services.
