A9 closed both ways at Daviot, south of Inverness, due to crash, Traffic Scotland warns Highland motorists

The A9 is blocked south of Inverness following a crash, motorists have been warned.

The busy Highland trunk road is blocked in both directions following the incident, Traffic Scotland advised in a statement at 12.30pm.

Police are in attendance, and traffic is slowing on the approach to the scene.

A Traffic Scotland spokesperson said: β€œ[The] A9 at Daviot is blocked in both directions due to a road traffic incident. Road users are advised to approach with caution and expect delays.”

The number of vehicles involved in the crash was not known at the time of writing, nor whether there were any injuries.

The police and ambulance service have been approached for comment.
