Susan Calman's macaroons are as tasty as they look - they've sold out in two days!
It was only on Friday that the comedian's 'Secret Scotland' was out, on Channel 5, as she advertised the charms of Strathspey and Badenoch as part of her trip to Grampian and Cental Highlands.
Her scene at Aviemore's Kilted Fudge Company, where she helped to make Stephen Bruce's latest batch of macaroons, certainly caught the eye of confectionery lovers the world over.
By the time the company set up their stall at today's Cairngorms Market in Grantown there wasn't much of the stuff left, admitted Mr Bruce's partner Chris Lewis.
"We had orders from across the world - literally - from people who'd seen the programme," he told the Strathy.
"I mean, we even had one order from Canada.
"Once we'd deal with those we brought the rest to Grantown today and it had all gone this morning. We still had plenty of other goodies to sell at the market, of course, but there's no doubt it was Susan's brilliant performance that sparked the rush on macaroons."
Chris explained that the scene had been shot some two months ago, but he and Stephen had been sworn to secrecy – in keeping with the show's title – until the final edit had been made.
"We're delighted to have made the cut," said Chris, "and I can also reveal that Susan was great to work with."
