Ploughs doing battle with blizzards at each end of the strath

Heavy snow is battering the A9 at both gateways to Badenoch and Strathspey.

Webcams tell the story of both the Slochd and Drumochter passes.

"Please drive to conditions and expect delays," says Traffic Scotland to all who are out or considering venturing out at the moment.

Gritallica is the plough dealing with the northern section and Frosty is at work at the Badenoch end.
