Boat of Garten man caught driving under influence of drugs

Police officers pulled over a Boat of Garten motorist because the vehicle did not have a road tax.
But Inverness Sheriff Court heard that when officers approached 31 year old Dylan Ritchie of Craigie Avenue, they saw his eyes were bloodshot and he was tested positive for cannabis.
He admitted driving under the influence of drugs on August 29, 2022.
His reading was 2.2mcgs of a cannabis metabolite when the safe driving limit is 2mcgs.
He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid community work by Sheriff David Sutherland who also banned him from driving for a year.
