Seven people appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday after arrests made in connection with serious organised criminal distribution of drugs.

Christopher Jaffray (46), from Alness, Kayci Brown (20), from Stevenage, Londoners Mohamed Osman (24), Dennis Mankulu (20), Abdirahman Abubaker (20), Kamar Raheem (20), and a 17-year-old boy from Edinburgh, who cannot be named, were charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine this year in Inverness, areas between Inverness and Glasgow and elsewhere in Scotland.

They are alleged to be all connected with serious organised crime.

The 17-year-old and Raheem are also accused of breaching previous bail conditions.

In addition, Brown is charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice by trying to evade capture in Glasgow.

All seven made no plea, were committed for further examination and released on bail.
