Motorists were blocked by police from crossing the Inshes overbridge and entering the A9 via the southbound slip road from the Raigmore Interchange earlier this morning.

Details of the 'police incident' at around 6.30am are unclear.

It has been reported other emergency services were also at the scene.

However, Traffic Scotland says the area is now clear.
