Ambulance service transferred casualty from A9 Kincraig RTA to hospital

The A9 northbound was closed for almost three hours last night by Kincraig after a crash which reportedly hospitalised one traveller.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 18:45 from the ambulance service.

“It was an RTC involving two vehicles.

“We had two appliances from Aviemore and Kingussie, and one community response unit from Newtonmore, on the scene.

The stop message came in at 20:04 and the incident was left to Police Scotland.

Details are still awaited on last night's incident which closed the northbound section of the A9 at Kincraig for several hours.

Traffic Scotland announced that the road was clear at 10.20pm

Confirmation of the details is still awaited from Highland Police, who were also dealing with what was reported to be a one-vehicle accident on the lower ‘old’ A9, the B9152 at Kincraig, earlier in the evening in which a van left the road.

Again, details are still awaited on that incident.
