Police Scotland say 43 year old man charged and issued with a fixed penalty notice after 8 people escape injury in latest A9 crash near Carrbridge

Eight people were lucky to avoid injury yesterday (Wednesday) in a two car collision on the A9 near Carrbridge.

One man has been charged and fined after the accident, which badly damaged both vehicles.

Pictures sent to us by a member of the public show the wreckage.

Paramedics checked over the eight occupants of the vehicles at the scene and it is understood there were no injuries requiring further treatment.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 5.15pm on Wednesday, 14 August, 2024, officers received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A9 near Carrbridge.

“Eight people were checked over at the scene by the ambulance service. Arrangements were made for the vehicles to be recovered.

“A 43-year-old man was charged and issued a fixed penalty notice.”
