It’s two down and hopefully one more to come at Loch Garten.
A second egg at the nest at the RSPB reserve by Boat of Garten hatched earlier this morning.
Site manager Jess Tomes said: "EJ the osprey’s second egg surprised us all by hatching a little earlier than expected, at some point in the early hours of this morning.
"Staff and webcam watchers first noticed the second chick at about 6.40am and within the hour it was being fed by mum, EJ, along with its older sibling.
"Odin is going to have to step-up his fishing rate now that he has two hungry beaks to feed, as well as providing fish for EJ.
"We hope that the third and final egg of the clutch will hatch sometime tomorrow or Saturday. This second chick is the 27th by EJ to hatch at the Loch Garten site."
