IN AN eventful game on Saturday, Kincraig got a win under their belts in the Sutherland Cup.

Glasgow Mid Argyll's second string had to head north, with the venue being switched from their home ground due to the atrocious conditions in the Central Belt.

They found themselves tied up in a traffic jam at the A9 roadworks at Bankfoot, delaying the start of the game by 20 minutes.

Things went from bad to worse as Kincraig's hugely experienced, if ageing, forward line set to with a will against the battling GMA youngsters.

Neil Ross dominated the midfield as the provider of endless ball supply to brother, Donnie, and Ian (Spider) Grant, and there were numerous close shaves before the Badenoch side took the lead.

Kincraig's Neil Ross lets fly with a rocket on the GMA goal.

A 20 yard ground shot from Donnie Ross, hit with venom, evaded the goalkeeper's despairing lunge to leave Kincraig one up at the turn.

Shortly after the restart, Donnie Ross made it 2-0 with an unstoppable rocket from 15 yards.

Kincraig, playing well throughout, went on to nail a couple more goals from Ian Grant and Neil Ross to continue one of the more unusual statistics this season.

They have not picked up a single point in the league, yet remain unbeaten in cups, and now face Lovat in the quarter final of the Sutherland.
