TWO matches went ahead in the Premier League with Kyles joining Oban Camanachd at the top on four points after a 3-1 win away to Bute.

Tom Whyte scored all three Kyles goals, while Stuart Strathie scored for Bute.

In the other game, Glen Urquhart got their first points of the season with a surprise 3-1 home win over Inveraray.

Lewis MacLennan scored first for the Glen before Gary Macpherson equalised.

David MacLennan restored the Glen Urquhart lead five minutes into the second period before Lewis MacLennan made sure of the points with 18 minutes to go.

In North Division 2, Glen Urquhart went clear at the top despite dropping a point in a home match against Glengarry.

David Smart scored for the home side, but Ken Henderson saved the point for Glengarry with a goal three minutes from time.

Lovat go second after a 5-3 win in Portree over Skye. Jamie Matheson put the visitors ahead, but goals from Ian Morrison and Angie Borve MacDonald gave Skye a 2-1 lead.

However, Jimmy Mackenzie levelled for the visitors.

In the second period, Steven Cameron made it 3-2 to Lovat ten minutes in, but Morrison levelled for Skye. Goals from Cameron, with a 70th minute penalty, and Mackenzie, sealed the victory for the visitors.

In North 3, Aberdeen University went top after a 2-0 home win over Lochcarron, while Boleskine got their first point of the season with a 1-1 home draw with Lochbroom.

Lochside Rovers lead South Division One after a solid 3-0 win away to Glasgow Mid Argyll, thanks to a Johnny Will hat-trick.

One league down, Taynuilt went top after a 6-2 home win over Glasgow Mid Argyll, with Willie Gillies netting a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, a Grant Macpherson hat-trick gave Glenorchy a 3-0 win at home to Bute and Strachur and Col Glen fought out a 0-0 draw.

In all, apart from Tayforth's call off, another nine matches failed to go ahead due to unplayable pitches as the backlog begins to pile up once again with a total of 30 matches so far involved.
