Karen Waterfield, daughter of Barry and Anne Meers, of Garaline Terrace, Kingussie, received a postgraduate diploma in primary education from the University of the West of Scotland, after graduating from the Open University. The mother-of-two is currently serving her probationary period at a school in East Renfrewshire.
Stephanie Wink, a former Kingussie High School pupil, graduated BA (Hons) in business management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. She is currently employed by World Fuel Services in London.
Donna Ann Watt, a former pupil of Kingussie High School, graduated with a BSc degree in adult nursing from Stirling University. She is the middle daughter of Ian and Chrissie Watt, of 8 Distillery Cottages, Dalwhinnie.
Holly Wright, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, with a B.Eng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Training. Additionally, Holly was awarded her Colours for service to university sport. She is due to take up a post with drinks giant Diageo at their malt distilling headquarters in Elgin next month.
Jo Weir, a former Kingussie High School pupil, of English Charlie’s, Rothiemurchus, has graduated in medicine from Glasgow University. Miss Weir took her first degree in Anatomy at Glasgow University (BSc Hons) and continued her studies to achieve her degree in medicine (MBChB). She is the daughter of Penny Weir, of the same address.
Veronica Whymant, a former Kingussie High School pupil, graduated MA (Hons 2:1) in History from the University of St Andrews. She goes to Glasgow University in September to study for an MSc in archives and record management. Veronica is the daughter of Stephen and Wendy Whymant, formerly of Main Street, Newtonmore, and who now live in Bridgend Avenue, Dingwall.
