Mrs Tracy MacPherson, of 10, Orchard Court, Kingussie, who has graduated from Inverness College with a BA in Business Management.

Danielle MacKenzie, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil has gained a BSc with Distinction and was winner of the university gold medal at Napier University for Property Management and Valuation. She is the daughter of David and Anne MacKenzie, of Main Street, Carrbridge, and is now employed by Highland Property Services in Aviemore.

Nicola Macdonald a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, (20) gained an HNC Admin and IT (Medical) from Inverness College. Nicola is the daughter of Dougie and Bunty Macdonald, of Carrbridge.

Jonny McElligott, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, son of Gilly and Bobbie McElligott of Carrbridge, graduated as a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Aberdeen.

James Mcfarlane, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, graduated from RAF Halton on September 23, which was also the occasion of his 18th birthday. He will now go on to trade training at RAF Cosford as a weapon systems technician.

Sinclair J. MacLeod, eldest son of Torquil and Pamela MacLeod, Cromdale, and a former pupil of Grantown Grammar School, graduated in a ceremony at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire, where he has now taken up his career in supply and logistics.

Catriona Macdonald, daughter of Ronnie and Fiona Macdonald, of Dalwhinnie, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Catriona is a former pupil of Kingussie High School.

Ross Macdonald, of Carrbridge, graduated from Aberdeen University with a Masters Degree in Chemistry. The former pupil of Grantown Grammar School is now studying a PhD course at the university.

Graham Maclagan, a former Kingussie High School pupil, has graduated from the Moray House School of Education at the University of Edinburgh with a Professional Graduate Diploma of Education (PGDE) in Secondary Music. He previously graduated as a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the same university. He is beginning his career as a teacher of music at Gracemount High School in Edinburgh.

Faye McLeod, a former pupil of Grantown Grammar School, graduated from the University of Glasgow, Faculty of Biomedical and Life Sciences, with a Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree (2:1) in Pharmacology. She is the younger daughter of Robbie and Moira McLeod, Monadhliath, Old Spey Bridge, Grantown, and is continuing her studies at the university to complete a PhD in the study of Retts Syndrome.

Lauren MacRae has followed in her sister Alanna's footsteps by graduating with a medical degree from Dundee University, much to the delight of the girls' grandparents Alister and Beryl MacRae of Laggan.

Corporal Sinclair MacLeod, (17), Cromdale Air Cadet, pictured with his BTEC certificates (CVQO). He is the first to achieve the award within the ATC Scotland which counts as the equivalent of four Standard Grades and is recognised by the country's universities. Corporal MacLeod is now carrying out basic training at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire in supplies and logistics. He studied with ATC Aviemore 1068 DF and has been a member of the squadron for the past four-and-a-half years.

Lindsay Macpherson, a former Kingussie High School pupil, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh with a BSc (First Class Hons) in Clothing Design and Manufacture. Lindsay is continuing her studies at the University of London, where she is taking a post-graduate course in Fashion Journalism. She is the youngest daughter of John and Gail Macpherson, of Cuileag, Green Lane, Kingussie.

Karen MacArthur, a former Kingussie High School pupil, has graduated with honours in Interior Architecture at Napier University, Edinburgh. Karen is the youngest daughter of Duncan and Glynis MacArthur, of High Street, Kingussie.

Graham Maclagan, a former Kingussie High School pupil, has graduated from the University of Edinburgh as a Bachelor of Music with Honours (BMus). He was also awarded the Ian Pitt-Watson Prize for distinguished work in the field of choral conducting.
