Nora Haggarty, orignially from Alltmor, Aviemore, graduated with an HND in Beauty Therapy from Inverness College. Mother-of-three Nora is now living in Inverness with her youngest son and working at a salon in Beauly.
Aimee Gemmell, youngest daughter of Irene and Patrick Blease, of Cairdeas, Carrbridge, graduated with a BSc (merit) in nursing from Stirling University. She now has a full-time staff nursing post at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
Susannah Irvine graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA in Architecture. She is the granddaughter of Ralph and Sophie Irvine, of Cromdale, and will be taking up post with SG Architects in Glasgow while continuing her studies part-time at Glasgow School of Art.
Amy Grant, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, graduated with an MSc in Communications and Public Affairs from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Amy is the daughter of Duncan and Betty Grant, The Neuk, Grant Road, Grantown.
Jennifer Haxton, the elder daughter of the Rev and Mrs Morris Smith, of The Manse, Grantown, who has graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from Dundee University.
Fraser Gordon, Aviemore, a former Strathspey gamekeeper, passed out from the Scottish police college at Tulliallan. Fraser, son of James and Carol Gordon of Kintail, Coylumbridge, received the third highest academic award out of 107 officers in his class and was also nominated for the Lewis Fulton Memorial Trophy. He will be stationed at Stirling within Central Scotland Police.
Elaine Jamieson (27), daughter of Harry and Chris Jamieson of Nethy Bridge, has just completed her training at Tulliallan Police College in Perthshire. She is now on probation with Grampian Police in Aberdeen. Elaine attended Abernethy Primary School and Grantown Grammar School.
Daniel Jack, a former head boy at Grantown Grammar School, passed out from the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan. The son of Lindsay and Liz Jack, of Coire Bhrochain, Rhuarden Court, Grantown, Daniel is now taking up duties in Kirkwall, Orkney.
Donald Hall, former pupil and captain of Kingussie High School, graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BA (Hons) in Outdoor Education. Donald is the only son of Mr and Mrs Graham Hall, of Kinapol Guest House, Aviemore.
Emma Gordon, a former Grantown Grammar School pupil, has graduated from the Robert Gordon University with First Class Honours in Biomedical Science. Miss Gordon was also awarded the IBMS President’s Prize for best honours science student. She is the daughter of Alan and Pat Gordon, of Eilean Donan, Nethy Bridge.
Dr Steven Jachacy has graduated in Medicine (MBChB) from Edinburgh University. He is the son of George Jachacy, of Easter Kinakyle, Aviemore, and is the third generation of his family to enter the medical profession. Steven attended Aviemore Primary School and Kingussie High School. He started his medical studies at St Andrew’s University, obtaining a BSc in 2004, completing his studies in Edinburgh. He will commence his career at Stirling Royal Infirmary.
Roslynn Grant, former Grantown Grammar pupil has gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Human Resource Management and Marketing. Daughter of Bobby and Margarent Ann Grant, of Dalbeg, Grantown, she graduated from the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia.
Emily Howarth, a former pupil of Kingussie High School, graduated Bachelor of Nursing in Learning Disabilities from Edinburgh's Napier University. She is the elder daughter of David and Gillian Howarth of Lismore, West Terrace, Kingussie.
