One-vehicle accident west of Newtonmore closed road for two hours

The A86 has reopened and traffic is moving again east and westbound following this afternoon’s accident.

The road was closed after the incident between Newtonmore and Drumgask, with motorists advised to seek alternative routes for the duration.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Thursday, 25 April, 2024, police were called to the A86 near Newtonmore, following a report of a one-vehicle crash.

“Recovery has been arranged.”

As far as the Strathy understands there were no reported injuries.
