A large haul of suspected cannabis has been seized on the A9 near Newtonmore

Police have seized £45,000 of suspected cannabis resin after they stopped and searched a van on the A9 at Ralia.

A 50-year-old man was arrested last Wednesday in connection with being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Frank Cambridge appeared in private on petition at Inverness Sheriff Court the next day.

He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.

Police have just issued the details but there is no further information available.
